CQIP Presentation Cites CHAMPS Oncology

On Thursday, Sept. 25, Amy Waits, B.S., CTR, Oncology Data Center QI specialist for Northside Hospital Cancer Institute in Georgia, cited one of CHAMPS Oncology’s presentations that focused on the importance of the Commission on Cancer’s Cancer Quality Improvement Program (CQIP) report.

Karen SchmidtWaits collaborated with CHAMPS Oncology’s Associate Vice President and CoC-trained Consultant Karen Schmidt, CTR, to develop her CQIP presentation for more than 93 tumor registrars at the Georgia Tumor Registrars Association (GATRA) Fall Conference. She cited Schmidt’s content along with information from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer during the conclusion of her CQIP presentation.

“It was a pleasure to present such an informative piece of work to our audience,” said Waits. “I cannot thank CHAMPS enough for the use of the information from the CQIP report and the time Schmidt spent with me developing the content for my CQIP presentation.”

CHAMPS Oncology understands the value of the CQIP report and the impact it can have on CoC-accredited cancer programs, as well as patient care.
