OHIMA Features CHAMPS Oncology Blog Post

The Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA) features CHAMPS Oncology’s blog post “5 Tips for a Remote Interview” on their blog.

In the blog focused on interview best practices, Laura Vondenhuevel, BS, RHIT, CTR, client services manager for CHAMPS Oncology, shares her advice with cancer registrars making the transition from an office job to a remote position.

“As someone who has 10 years of experience working and teaching from home, I have had my share of remote interviews and business interactions,” said Vondenhuevel. “Hopefully my tips can help others in the industry feel more confident during their remote interviews.”

Vondenhuevel explains the best ways to prepare for a remote interview, including knowing your technology and understanding the industry. She states, “Make sure you are aware of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) or other compliance standards that will apply to the location of your future home office.”
