Generous CHAMPS Healthcare Donation Enables Creation of The Center for Health Affairs' Foundation for Health Excellence

For many years, CHAMPS Healthcare, the business affiliate of The Center for Health Affairs, has used a portion of its revenues to help support the nonprofit work of the association. Thanks to a substantial donation from CHAMPS Healthcare in late 2013, The Center for Health Affairs' Foundation for Health Excellence has been created. The establishment of this grant-making arm will open the door to an era of increased support to benefit the health of Northeast Ohioans.

Grants through The Center for Health Affairs' Foundation for Health Excellence will make funds available for health-related projects aimed at improving healthcare access and quality and eliminating disparities in Northeast Ohio. Though projects may take a variety of forms, data from member hospitals' community health needs assessments will provide guidance to the organization on where its dollars will likely make the most significant impact.
