The Center for Health Affairs has been selected to complete a comprehensive needs assessment for the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County. The Center for Health Affairs has been selected to complete a comprehensive needs assessment for the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County. The ADAMHS Board needs assessment will include an analysis of demographic data, mental health and addiction prevalence rates, the use of evidence-based practices, focus group and executive interview results, identification of service gaps, and integration of previous research findings. The results of the needs assessment will help the ADAMHS Board identify the areas of greatest need for client services and direct planning and resources to the areas where they will have the greatest impact.

Since 2007, with the formation of the Behavioral Health RoundTable of Cuyahoga County, a focus of The Center’s collaborative efforts has been behavioral healthcare. The Center also co-leads the Northeast Region Public-Private Behavioral Health Collaborative, together with Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare System, which includes Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Summit counties.

In addition to its work in behavioral health, The Center has been engaged in work aimed at helping hospital members understand the health needs of the community, most recently by helping member hospitals conduct Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) reports.
