The Center and CHAMPS Turn 100 in 2016
Formally organized in March of 1916, The Center for Health Affairs has become known as the leading advocate for Northeast Ohio hospitals over the last century. Adding to this legacy, CHAMPS Healthcare, The Center's business affiliate, strategically partners with more than 5,000 clients nationwide to create better systems by improving operational efficiencies, reducing business expenses and enhancing the quality of patient care.
Celebratory Event
To celebrate turning 100 in 2016, The Center and CHAMPS are planning a centennial event for the evening of Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at the Global Center for Health Innovation. The centennial event will feature a unique, celebratory experience symbolic of the organizations' work and representative of its centennial theme, “Transformation through Collaboration.”
Community Gift
As part of the celebration, the organization is raising funds to continue to empower and strengthen the Northeast Ohio region, as well as the health and wellness of the people living within it, by partnering with Medworks to create a new program that will provide restorative dental care to 600+ patients in Northeast Ohio. The Center’s 501(c)(3) affiliate will match gifts up to $150,000 as part of their centennial celebration.
100 Days of Service
In 2015, employees at The Center for Health Affairs and CHAMPS Healthcare participated in a 100 Days of Service initiative, during which the organization achieved a total of 110 service days. The initiative was so successful that it will be continued in 2016.
