The Center for Health Affairs' emergency preparedness experts take pride in working with area hospitals and CMS agencies to improve the level of emergency preparedness in Northeast Ohio.
For more than a decade, Beth Gatlin, RN, MA-HSM, has fulfilled the role of The Center for Health Affairs' ASPR project director as well as the Hospital Preparedness Program regional healthcare coordinator for 27 acute care hospitals over a five-county region (Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain) by assisting them to increase their capacity and capability to respond to man-made or natural disasters.

Andrea Bishop offers disaster preparedness training and exercise coordination to Northeast Ohio hospitals and healthcare facilities interested in planning and preparing for an all-hazards event. She works in collaboration with Beth Gatlin to manage grant-funded program activities and initiatives that enhance regional disaster preparedness through disaster preparedness training and exercising.
