Opioid Consortium Meeting: Dental Consequences of MOUD and Associated Mitigation Strategies

The Northeast Ohio Hospital Opioid Consortium hosts their November meeting focused on Dental Consequences of MOUD and Associated Mitigation Strategies.

The FDA issued an alert related to negative dental impacts associated with dissolvable MOUD.  This session will raise awareness of the issue and provide information for mitigation strategies including dental pre-habilitation, peri-habilitation, and post-habilitation protocols.

Speaker Dr. Frank Beck, Inaugural Dean at NEOMED Bitonte College of Dentistry and Regional Chief Opioid Officer and Chairperson of the Section of Oral Medicine at Mercy will help attendees:

  • Understand the impact on oral health resulting from MOUD therapy
  • Learn dental pre-habilitation, peri-habilitation, and post-habilitation protocols
