Back to all News ReleasesJuly 28, 2011 (Cleveland)Member Hospitals Come Together to Form NEONI’s Center for Nursing Practice, Education, Research & Quality
As part of The Center for Health Affairs’ three-year strategic direction, The Center and its workforce initiative, NEONI, have started the development process for NEONI’s Center for Nursing Practice, Education, Research and Quality.
Working directly with members, The Center and NEONI plan to develop and implement a collaborative between nurses from academia and practice with the purpose of sharing nursing research, best practices, quality initiatives, models of care, and more across hospitals, schools of nursing, long-term care and homecare organizations throughout Northeast Ohio.
NEONI’s Center for Nursing Practice, Education, Research & Quality will provide a unique opportunity to harness the excellence in education practice whether that’s changes in curriculum, maintaining magnet standards or obtaining grants. The Center for Nursing also will allow individual hospitals and nursing programs to come together and raise the reputation nationally to jointly leverage publication opportunities and grant applications and create research partnerships. Also, through the Center for Nursing best practices will be developed to address areas such as the nursing practice gap, care delivery models and quality initiatives.
The Center for Nursing held a kickoff event on May 2 and a follow-up retreat with the planning committee in June to review and develop the framework, vision, strategies, committees, resources and timeline.
