Back to all News ReleasesMay 24, 2011 (Cleveland)The Center for Health Affairs, the Leading Advocate for Northeast Ohio Hospitals, Launches a New Website and Identity
For more than 95 years, The Center has been synonymous with advocacy for Northeast Ohio hospitals. And to strengthen the visibility and position of the organization, The Center recently launched a new website, position statement and identity.
As experts on the region's hospital community, The Center for Health Affairs set out to create a website that would be a valuable healthcare information resource for its member hospitals, the healthcare workforce, members of the community, and public policymakers.
The objective has been to create a user-friendly, sophisticated, information resource that supports our leadership position in the industry. We achieved this by designing a site that not only provides unique information for the public, but also for members specifically. Phase two of the web rollout will include a members-only section for our Northeast Ohio hospital members. The secure site will host a variety of information for specific audiences within our membership base. Information such as financial data, volume statistics, behavioral health information for community and hospital behavioral health professionals, and a variety of reports will soon be available to our members online.
In addition to the website upgrade, the dove has been “set free” from The Center’s logo and replaced with an abstract blue star. The five-pointed abstract star represents The Center’s “five centers of excellence”: Finance & Reimbursement; Policy & Advocacy; Emergency Preparedness; Healthcare Workforce; and Community. Each of these initiatives under The Center for Health Affairs provides unique services to the hospitals of our region. Services such as NEONI’s online clinical placement tool, StudentMAXTM; the regional hospital volume statistics; healthcare career shadowing for high school students; grant funds for emergency preparedness needs; whitepapers; and a hospital board academy have become staple programs to Northeast Ohio hospitals.
