Back to all News ReleasesSeptember 19, 2011 (Cleveland)The Center to Collaborate with BioEnterprise, Team NEO on Buy NEO Initiative
The Center for Health Affairs, BioEnterprise and Team NEO have entered into a unique collaboration aimed at attracting new businesses and jobs to Northeast Ohio.
The goal of this collaboration, which supports one of The Center’s key strategic initiatives, is to spur local purchasing of supplies, equipment, and other goods and services, by the world-class medical institutions located throughout the region. Together, The Center, BioEnterprise, and Team NEO will engage in the promotion, support, and expansion of existing medical supply companies within Northeast Ohio, as well as the attraction, development, and promotion of new medical supply businesses. Ultimately, this development will increase the number of people employed by this industry within Northeast Ohio and increase the local purchasing options for member hospitals.
The Center will play a pivotal role in providing Team NEO and BioEnterprise with aggregated data on goods and services purchased by hospitals. In tandem with The Center, Team NEO will analyze the aggregated purchasing data to identify opportunities to attract new medical supply companies to the region. Finally, The Center will work with BioEnterprise to implement business development initiatives for local medical supply companies, and marketing plans and attraction efforts to target medical supply businesses not currently located in Northeast Ohio.
