NEONI Members Welcome New Staff at Summer Soirée

NEONI MembersMore than 50 NEONI members gathered in Shaker Heights on Aug. 9, at the home of NEONI member, Diane Wish, RN, MBA, president & CEO of Centers for Dialysis Care. Hors d'oeuvres were served throughout the evening as NEONI members mingled and welcomed Cindy Danko and Sue Zagula Zupancic, the two newest members of NEONI’s staff.

Lisa Anderson, vice president of member services for The Center for Health Affairs/NEONI, thanked members for coming to NEONI’s Summer Soirée, saying, ”We love it when we have an opportunity to socialize and we really appreciate everybody’s support.”

She then introduced Danko and Zagula Zupancic to the crowd, touching on their new roles. Cindy Danko stepped into her position as director of NEONI’s Practice, Education, Research, Quality & Safety (PERQS) Center in July. In this role she will lead and manage the NEONI PERQS Center program by establishing a framework and structure for communicating and marketing the initiative. Sue Zagula Zupancic, director of placement services, also joined the NEONI team in July. She will oversee ACE-Ohio and NEONI’s Healthcare Career Shadowing Program in her new role.

Hope Moon, RN, MSN, CNS, dean of allied health and nursing at Lorain County Community College, and NEONI Chair, also addressed the group, remarking on the positive feedback she receives when sharing the work of NEONI with others. “Every time I travel to local or national meetings and share all the things that are happening here, [people tell me], ‘we want to move to Cleveland,’” she said.

NEONI’s Summer Soirée was sponsored by The Center for Health Affairs and its workforce initiative, NEONI. Photos from the event can be viewed on NEONI’s Facebook page.
