The Northeast Ohio healthcare workforce can now join a not-for-profit credit union solely dedicated to Ohio’s healthcare employees. This new opportunity is a result of a collaborative effort between The Center for Health Affairs, the leading advocate for Northeast Ohio hospitals, and the Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union (OHCFCU), located in Columbus.
The Center is proud to help bring OHCFCU’s services to this region’s healthcare employees and volunteers, their spouses and family members. Because of its not-for-profit status, the credit union is able to offer a vast array of financial services, including savings and checking accounts, auto and home loans, and credit and debit cards at competitive rates and with low or no fees and processing charges.
“As the value of a credit union membership gains ground in the public eye, OHCFCU continues to offer competitive loan rates and ways to help members maximize their spending dollars by creating unique programs like their Professional Development Savings Club,” said Lisa Anderson, vice president of The Center for Health Affairs’ member services division.
Northeast Ohio members of Ohio's healthcare credit union will have access to their accounts through a variety of convenience channels. This includes 58 Northeast Ohio Shared Branch locations and more than 4,500 branches nationwide. It also includes over 140 surcharge-free ATMs in Northeast Ohio and more than 30,000 ATMs nationwide, a wide variety of online services, and a 24/7 call center.
“Through this partnership with The Center for Health Affairs, the healthcare community in Northeast Ohio will have a trusted financial institution dedicated exclusively to meeting their unique needs,” said Bill Butler, CEO for Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union.
To get started, healthcare employees can open an account online at www.webcuNEO.com with only five dollars and remain a member for life, even through a professional change, retirement or relocation out of state.
