Community initiatives provide an opportunity for The Center for Health Affairs to showcase Northeast Ohio hospitals’ commitment to area residents as well as to educate community members on key health policy issues. On Friday, Nov. 16, Public Policy Development Manager Kirstin Craciun presented to seniors at the Mandel Jewish Community Center. Craciun spoke about The Center’s work and web-based resources, the economic impact of Northeast Ohio hospitals on the region, and how the federal healthcare reform law impacts Medicare, Medicaid, the uninsured and other healthcare consumers. In December, Craciun will continue to make the rounds on the senior speaking circuit when she presents to a group of low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities about similar topics.
