CHAMPS Oncology Contracts with Indiana University Health

This August, CHAMPS Oncology signed a new contract with Indiana University Health, located in Indianapolis, to provide consulting services to enhance the health system’s cancer registry. CHAMPS Oncology, which has provided data collection services for the system’s registry for the last four years, will have a much larger role under the new contract, which lasts until 2014. 

Services for IU Health will focus on three areas: 

Productivity and Workflow Analysis
CHAMPS Oncology will redesign the workflow of IU Health’s current registry in preparation for managing registry operations. 

Cancer Registry Operations and Management
CHAMPS Oncology will manage their daily registry activities and operations, including casefinding, abstracting and follow-up. 

Data Quality and Informatics
CHAMPS Oncology will ensure meaningful information is available to assess treatment outcomes and patient survival. 

CHAMPS Oncology strives to be a strategic partner to hospitals with an interest in maximizing the potential of their cancer registries. Their work with IU Health, like their work with other clients, will be carried out with an eye on the future and evolving cancer program requirements, to ensure compliance with cancer program standards.
