On Saturday, July 20, 2013, The Center for Health Affairs' President and CEO Bill Ryan was quoted in an Akron Beacon Journal piece on the Akron General partner search by Cheryl Powell. In the piece, "Akron General continues partner search," Ryan comments on the reasoning behind the search for an Akron General partner.
"By joining together and capturing more patients," Ryan said, "hospitals can spread their financial risk under the evolving payment system."
