The Center Contributes to Study on Economic Impact of MetroHealth

Economic Impact of MetroHealthThe Center for Health Affairs provided supplemental data for a January 2013 report entitled, The Economic Impact of MetroHealth System. Along with providing information for the report, The Center's President and CEO Bill Ryan and Emergency Preparedness Project Director Beth Gatlin were interviewees.

Beth Gatlin commented on MetroHealth's director of emergency management Marek Owca, saying he "has his thumb on everything that’s happening in the county and in the region.”

Bill Ryan stated, “MetroHealth has strong connections with its patients and the community. In general, people tend to remain with a health system after initially choosing it.”

The Center's March 2012 Issue Brief was also cited as a source of information on changes occurring in the local healthcare market.
