Back to all News ReleasesMay 22, 2014 (Cleveland)NEONI Promotes prep2practice™ Tool at Ohio Public Health Conference

The Center for Health Affairs workforce initiative, NEONI, recently exhibited at the 2014 Ohio Public Health Conference to promote prep2practice™, its newly developed online tool.
The Ohio Public Health Conference was held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Columbus May 19 through 21. The theme of the conference was “The Role of Technology in Public Health: From the Masses to Me,” providing an opportunity for exhibitors to share their public health technology tools and information with attendees such as public health education organizations and facilities as well as students.
prep2practice™ will support the increased demand for available public health practicums and capstone experiences by matching students’ skills and experience with organizations in need, ultimately helping to support the development of a strong workforce.
“The amount of positive feedback we received from various organizations, facilities, professionals and students was overwhelming,” said Sandy Vince, CPLP, project manager, The Center for Health Affairs. “We left the Ohio Public Health Conference feeling energized about the tool and even more excited for the rollout in early 2015.”
