On Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, The Center for Health Affairs' President and CEO Bill Ryan was quoted in a Plain Dealer piece on the Akron General merger with Cleveland Clinic.
In the piece, "In latest mega-merger, Cleveland Clinic joins with Akron General," Ryan commented on what the Akron General merger with Cleveland Clinic means for the region and Akron competitor Summa Health. "For the people in the Akron community, it gives them a better choice than they had before," he said. "They now have two health systems that are on even footing."
