Bill Ryan Participates in Cleveland Press Club Panel

On Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 The Center for Health Affairs’ President and CEO Bill Ryan participated in a Cleveland Press Club panel at Music Box Supper Club entitled, "The Race for Dominance Among Cleveland's ‘Big Three’ Hospitals." Attendees included members of the Cleveland Press Club as well as communications staff from Northeast Ohio hospitals.

Joining the panel, facilitated by WKYC’s Monica Robins, was Casey Ross of The Plain Dealer and Sarah Jane Tribble of 90.3 WCPN ideastream. The Cleveland Press Club discussion covered the competition between the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and MetroHealth System. Panelists also explored the state of healthcare in Northeast Ohio, and what the competition between the hospital systems means for the region and individual patients.

"It’s not a race for dominance," said Ryan during the Cleveland Press Club panel. "It’s a race for excellence."
