New Board Members Begin Terms in 2016The Center for Health Affairs has announced changes to its board as well as to the boards of its business affiliate CHAMPS Healthcare and to GCHA, the nonprofit corporate entity that houses community activities including NEONI, its workforce initiative. The changes include the addition of several new members to the various boards to account for the natural vacancies that occurred after the expiring terms of previous board members. Updates to the leadership of each board have also been made accordingly. The new board members officially began their terms at the start of 2016.

New board members, The Center for Health Affairs:

  • Patti DePompei, president, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital & MacDonald Women’s Hospital
  • Tamikya Rose, vice president, government relations, MetroHealth System

New board leadership, The Center for Health Affairs:

  • Board Chair, Michael Kittoe, healthcare executive and financial leader
  • Treasurer, Tim Longville, assistant controller, corporate accounting, Cleveland Clinic
  • Chair Emeritus, Heidi L. Gartland, vice president, government relations, University Hospitals

New board member, CHAMPS Healthcare:

  • Scott Platz, director of finance, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Taussig Cancer & Glickman Urological Institutes (HealthComp, Inc. and Central Hospital Services Boards) 

New board leadership, CHAMPS Healthcare:

  • Vice President, Judy Murphy, vice president, human resources, Southwest General Health Center (Central Hospital Services Board only)
  • Secretary, Edward Ruth, Jr., president, Mercy Medical Partners, vice president, strategy/business development, Mercy Regional Medical Center (HealthComp, Inc. and Central Hospital Services Boards)
  • Vice President, Chris McKenna, managing director, Carleton, McKenna & Co., LLC (HealthComp Board only)

  • Al Matyas, vice president, ambulatory operations and business development, Southwest General Health Center
