Back to all News ReleasesMarch 27, 2016 (Cleveland)Crain’s Features Bill Ryan as Health Care Source
On Sunday, March 27, Crain’s Cleveland Business featured The Center for Health Affairs’ president and CEO, Bill Ryan, as a health care source regularly used by the business newspaper. The article was part of a weekly series called “Source Lunch,” which began last fall and allows Crain’s to highlight the experts it calls upon in its news stories. Ryan routinely provides information to Crain’s on health care and hospitals in Northeast Ohio.
In the piece, Ryan responded to a series of questions on several topics, including the primary role of The Center for Health Affairs. “The Center’s primary role is to advocate for the hospitals and to assist the hospitals in fulfilling their mission in the community,” he explained. “We provide a lot of information to them about what’s happening in the community… (We) provide a lot of information to policy makers.”
Ryan also commented on the importance of regional advocacy, serving as a health care source of information for the community and the biggest challenges local hospitals will face as health care evolves. In addition to these types of questions, the piece also posed several light-hearted queries to allow readers to get to know The Center’s president and CEO a little better. From these readers learned:
- Ryan’s favorite place in Northeast Ohio is Rocky River Reservation.
- He enjoys playing guitar and building amplifiers.
- He has always wished he could play piano and draw.
