The
Healthy Northeast Ohio team hosted its first-ever virtual Regional Convening on Thursday, June 24. The event included opening remarks from The Center for Health Affairs’ own Lisa Anderson, and Terry Allan, health commissioner of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. An in-depth presentation was provided about the newly available data scoring tool to provide additional clarification about the methodology and cross-cutting priorities across the region.
Community health experiences and insights regarding effective community health improvement efforts were shared by the following members and partners of The Center: Cleveland Clinic, Lake County General Health District, Medina County Health Department, Mercy Health, The MetroHealth System and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center. Peter S. Hovmand, PhD, MSW, professor with the Center for Community Health Integration at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, was a featured guest speaker and delivered a presentation titled, “Mapping Tool for Community Health Efforts.”
The Healthy Northeast Ohio team plans to host another Regional Convening this fall. Information on date, time and registration will be available in the coming months.
