The Center for Health Affairs Welcomes Christine Dodd as Executive Director of Member Programming

The Center for Health Affairs is happy to announce Christine Dodd has joined the organization as executive director of member programming. In her role, Dodd will be responsible for growing The Center’s programs and services to meet the pressing and ever-changing needs of its member hospitals and Northeast Ohio’s diverse healthcare community.

Dodd is a healthcare government relations and grant writing professional with over 30 years of experience handling public policy, advocacy and public relations. She is the founder and CEO of Guide4Care, a patient navigation service to help individuals traverse healthcare challenges.

Dodd’s career began as a healthcare legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she worked on the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) under Rep. Thomas C. Sawyer of Ohio. Dodd then worked as a legislative director for the late Sen. John McCain and Sen. Lamar Alexander, drafting legislation related to Medicare Part D, generic prescription drugs, healthcare privacy and electronic health records. Dodd’s previous work also includes government relations positions with IBM, Austen BioInnovation Institute and Ice Miller LLP.

As the nation’s first regional hospital association, The Center’s member services division has been a fierce advocate for Northeast Ohio hospitals for over 100 years. With 36 member hospitals across nine counties in Northeast Ohio, The Center’s member programming focuses on areas in which member hospitals and their communities can benefit from a regional approach, including emergency preparedness; finance and reimbursement; community health; opioid crisis mitigation; and public policy and advocacy.
