New HEALing Communities Study Resources Coming in July, Naloxone Awareness Materials Available

new-community-study-resourcesThrough the Northeast Ohio Hospital Opioid Consortium, The Center for Health Affairs in April signed on to join the HEALing Communities Study’s (HCS) Ohio opioid education campaign, a federally funded initiative aimed at preventing opioid overdose deaths. Opioid Consortium members are encouraged to get involved in the initiative; The Center has been participating in the effort by working with HCS to assemble co-branded media kits for members in Cuyahoga County and by raising awareness of the campaign and its educational materials on social media.

The first wave of the campaign has been focused on naloxone, a medicine that can save the life of someone who is overdosing on opioids. The second phase of the campaign is centered around Medication for Opioid Use Disorder/Staying in Treatment and the promotional materials are slated to be released in July.

Co-branded HCS naloxone materials are available to Opioid Consortium member organizations. The Center has already received co-branded digital materials for each Opioid Consortium member hospital, and physical materials are available for co-branding upon request. The MOUD/SIT materials will be available for co-branding opportunities upon release in July. To view samples and reference materials, click here to see the HCS campaign toolbox.
