The Center for Health Affairs Names New Vice Chair to Community Health Affairs Board of Directors

The Center for Health Affairs is thrilled to announce the appointment of Fredy Robles as vice chair of its Community Health Affairs Board of Directors. Comprised of hospital, academic and community leaders in Northeast Ohio, the Board supports the organization in addressing healthcare needs and issues to improve health and wellness throughout the community.

“We’re pleased to welcome Fredy Robles, who has been serving on this board since last year, to a new role,” said Susan Fuehrer, chair of the Community Health Affairs Board. “With Fredy in this leadership position as vice chair, the board will benefit tremendously from his experience and commitment to helping the marginalized and disenfranchised within our community.”

Currently serving as chief program officer for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland, Robles’ work focuses on finding sustainable solutions to the multilevel and complex needs represented through the eight-county service area of the diocese. Having served in various capacities within the mental health field in both the private sector and nonprofit organizations, Robles’ extensive experience and expertise in human behavior will be invaluable in this new role. Holding a master’s degree in clinical pastoral counseling, he held the highest dual credentials from the Counseling, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board and the Chemical Dependency Professionals Board of Ohio as a practitioner.

“Our team is fortunate to have such a passionate, dedicated and impactful leader in the community move into the position of vice chair,” said Brian Lane, president & CEO of The Center for Health Affairs. “Fredy brings tremendous integrity and unique insights to the Community Health Affairs Board as we continue our drive to support the vital work of our member hospitals and their partners. His knowledge and guidance in this new level of leadership only strengthens an already exceptional board.”

The Community Health Affairs Board of Directors governs the 501(c)(6) Ohio nonprofit corporation and subsidiary of The Center for Health Affairs.
