A new Data Stories web page has been added to healthyneo.org. This page showcases stories featuring data about the Healthy Northeast Ohio region in two categories:

• Healthy Northeast Ohio Regional Demographic Profile
• Substance Use and Overdose Deaths in Cuyahoga County

The Healthy Northeast Ohio team collaborated with program staff from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s Overdose Data to Action Initiative (OD2A) on a recently published story, Substance Use and Overdose Deaths in Cuyahoga County.

This story includes overview information on opioids, fentanyl, substance use, mental health, and related indicators for Cuyahoga County, including data on the following:

• Unintentional opioid related death rate
• Comparison of Cuyahoga County to nearby counties
• Death rate due to drug poisoning in Cuyahoga County
• Mental health provider rate and changes over time
  
  

Regional Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs)

Several CHNAs across the Healthy Northeast Ohio region have been completed and made publicly available.

Partnerships and Health Equity Resource

The Conduent Health Communities Institute/Renown Health have released an ebook, “The Power of Partnerships to Advance Health Equity.” Sharing valuable lessons and insights from their partnership — as well as addressing elements critical to advancing health equity — the ebook provides answers to the question: What does it take to move a health system from commitment to addressing social determinants of health to real and measurable actions that advance health equity?
