2011 Economic Impact Study
This report illustrates the important role of hospitals in the region – as
care providers, as employers, as community servants, and as generators of
economic activity.
2006 Economic Impact Study
This report estimates the economic impact of hospitals in 35 Greater Cleveland locations on employment, household earnings, and business sales for the fiscal year ending December 2004.The total economic impact of hospitals in the Cleveland area and their related healthcare facilities was $15.5 billion. This included a household earnings impact of $6.2 billion. The total economic impact of hospitals on employment in the Cleveland area was 137,197 jobs.
2004 Economic Impact Study
This report estimates the economic impact of hospitals in 35 Greater Cleveland locations on employment, household earnings, and business sales for the fiscal year ending December 2002. The total economic impact of hospitals in the Cleveland area and their related healthcare facilities was $11.58 billion. This included a household earnings impact of $3.28 billion. The total economic impact of hospitals on employment in the Cleveland area is 109,107 jobs.
