Through a partnership with Dignity Health Global Education (DHGE), The Center for Health Affairs offers employers a variety of online degree, certificate and custom education programs to help them retain and develop their workforce. DHGE works with top healthcare experts to design engaging and reimagined virtual healthcare workforce development content in a student-centric environment. The Center for Health Affairs forms student cohorts with member, sponsor and community organizations to offer DHGE’s educational programming at a discounted rate.

Nurse Retention

Nursing workforce retention is a critical area of concern for hospitals across the country, including in Northeast Ohio. The Center for Health Affairs is working with Pegasus Knowledge Solutions, Inc. (PKSI) to bring an innovative tool to hospitals aimed at helping them with nurse retention efforts. PKSI’s Advanced Workforce Analytics (AWA) is an out-of-the-box solution that uses hospitals’ data sources to deliver critical insights to reduce nurse turnover. It can help identify employees at a potential risk of leaving, address concerns related to employee engagement, create plans and forecasts to facilitate workforce and succession planning, and more.

Networking & Development for Nurse Leaders

Nursing leaders in Northeast Ohio can connect with one another through the Greater Cleveland Organization of Nurse Leadership (GCONL). Hosted by The Center for Health Affairs, GCONL is an affiliate chapter of the Ohio Organization for Nursing Leadership, a professional organization for those in nursing who are working to promote nursing leadership, influence the position of quality healthcare and access, and redesign nursing delivery systems. As a center of excellence for clinical leadership, GCONL improves healthcare through legislation, education, technology, research, consultation, networking and information sharing.
